[Japan Quake] Honda to Restart All Production Bases in Japan

Honda Motor Co Ltd announced March 31, 2011, that it will resume the operations of all of its production bases in Japan April 11, 2011. The company will restart the Saitama Factory's Sayama Plant (Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture) and the Suzuka Factory (Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture), which are auto assembly plants whose operations have been halted. Also, Honda will restart the production and shipment of parts that are used in plants outside Japan to make complete cars April 4, 2011. It will start supplying the parts, giving priority to production bases that are in serious short supply. Honda expects that the operation rates of its assembly plants and parts plants for overseas production will be about 50% for a while.
