One killed as school bus collides with mini-truck

A head-on collision between a school bus and a mini-truck in this Punjab town Saturday left one person dead and 16 others, including 12 students, injured, police said.

Mini-truck driver Rizwan, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh, was killed in the accident that took place in the evening in the town, 230 km from Chandigarh.

The private school's bus driver, Harpal Singh, was seriously injured. Police said that at least 12 students and three teachers were also injured.
