Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], February 27 (ANI): BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao on Thursday criticized Telangana CM Revanth Reddy over the SLBC tunnel collapse, accusing him of rushing the project without expert consultation and blaming others for the failure.
On Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's allegation that the delay caused by former CM KCR is the reason for the SLBC tunnel collapse, BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao said, 'If he doesn't know how to work, it's easy for him to put allegations on others. He started the 10-year-old project without consulting the experts and engineers out of greed, and that's the reason 8 workers are trapped there - no one knows if they are dead or alive... I will suggest him to work instead of shifting the blame on others.'
'The CM should behave and talk like a chief minister and not a 'cheap minister,' Rao said.
The former Telangana minister highlighted India's progress in technology and innovation at Tech and Innovation Summit 2025. He praised Hyderabad and Bengaluru as major tech hubs, emphasizing healthy competition between the two cities.
BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao who was present at the tech and summit event spoke to ANI saying, 'Technology and especially the innovations that have been happening in India, which certainly make us all proud. Bengaluru, Hyderabad and several other tech hubs in India have become epicentres for innovation... I do believe that today's startup is tomorrow's future...'
Further he added, 'Bengaluru is undisputedly the leader in technology in India, followed closely by my city, Hyderabad. But I'm also proud of Hyderabadi; we have actually managed to create a robust startup ecosystem in Hyderabad. In fact, we have beaten Bengaluru in terms of number of job creation over the last three or four years. I do believe that healthy competition is good. Hyderabad and Bengaluru are not very far from each other - we're hardly 600km away. So it can be a nice corridor of innovation...' (ANI)
