New Delhi [India], April 7 (ANI): BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal on Monday questioned the unity among the INDIA bloc parties in Bihar. He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to Bihar is in search of 'political ground' in the State. But any expansion of the Congress in the State will be at the cost of its alliance partners like the RJD, he said.
'Rahul Gandhi has gone to Bihar to search for his political ground, but the question is that there are other parties of the INDI alliance there too, Tejashwi Yadav and others. Whose ground will Rahul Gandhi cut into?' Khandelwal asked while talking to ANI.
'That's the big question, and we all know that when their political interests align, they all stand together; otherwise, they are against each other,' he said.
The BJP MP exuded confidence in the NDA winning in the upcoming Bihar Assembly election.
'In the upcoming Assembly election in Bihar, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Nitish Kumar the NDA will again form the government,' Khandelwal said.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan said that Rahul Gandhi is coming to the state to fulfil his commitment of social unity and social justice.
'People are happy, and he is coming to Bihar frequently to fulfil his commitment of social unity and social justice. He is appealing to the people to take part in this campaign to remove this blind and deaf government,' Khan told ANI.
Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi left for Bihar, where he will join NSUI National in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar's 'Palayan Roko Naukri Do' Yatra in Begusarai.
The Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition will later address a public meeting in Patna. In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that he would visit Begusarai in Bihar, where he would hold the Yatra.
'Young friends of Bihar, I will be coming to Begusarai on April 7th to join you in the 'Roko Palayan, Do Naukri' campaign, walking shoulder to shoulder with you. The goal is to show the world the spirit of Bihar's youth, their struggles, and their hardships,' Rahul said.
The Lok Sabha LoP also asked the youth to wear white T-shirts to put pressure on the Bihar government.
'Come wearing a White T-Shirt, ask questions, raise your voice--to put pressure on the government for your rights, to hold them accountable. Let's come together and make Bihar a state of opportunities,' he said.
'The issues you face--unemployment, inflation, paper leaks, and the reduction in government jobs one after another, along with privatization that doesn't benefit you--are the reasons we are on this campaign. This is called the 'Palayan Yatra.' Come and join us wearing a white t-shirt so that the world can see the emotions of Bihar's youth and put pressure on the Bihar government. We want to mobilize the energy of Bihar's youth and build a new Bihar,' Rahul Gandhi said.
Earlier, the Congress leader visited Bihar on January 18 and February 5. (ANI)
