New Delhi [India], June 28 (ANI): Union Minister Harsh Malhotra on Saturday called the murder of a 19-year-old boy in Delhi's Shahdara area 'tragic' and assured strict legal action.
Speaking to ANI, Malhotra said, 'It is a tragic incident. A minor scuffle over a scooter collision turned into a big fight, where three people killed 19-year-old Yash. The police have arrested all the accused. We have directed them to take stringent actions against the accused. They will not be spared.'
He said that three accused were involved in the murder of Yash, a teenager, following a road-related quarrel. The police arrested all of them.
Meanwhile, a man named Gaffar, whose name surfaced in connection with the case, denied any involvement, saying, '...There are CCTV cameras at the deceased's place. You can check them. I have not been there...I have never talked to Yash or his father...I don't know the accused either...'
On the night of June 27, a 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the Rani Garden area of Delhi's Shahdara.
The Delhi Police have arrested three individuals in alleged connection with the murder of Yash, two of whom have been identified as Amaan and Lucky, while the third accused is a minor.
The incident occurred after a minor scuffle between the victim, Yash, and Amaan. The stabbing took place near Ambedkar Park, Shiv Mandir, when Yash had gone to pick up his cousin, Aman Sharma.
Speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shahdara, Prashant Gautam, stated that a scuffle broke out, during which Amaan allegedly stabbed the victim in the lower back. Yash was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
DCP Gautam mentioned that Amaan has a criminal history, while Lucky has no such record.
