Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 18 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar visited the Ziyarat Baba Zainuddin Rishi (RA) Sufi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on Sunday.
He was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Syed Darakhshan Andrabi. They paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for the welfare of humanity.
Prof Shahid Akhter, officiating Chairman of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions & the National Convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, also accompanied the RSS leader during the visit.
Speaking to the media, Indresh Kumar expressed his appreciation for the development work at the Sufi shrine. 'These shrines are the places of harmony and love. We are happy to see the development at these spiritual sites under the leadership of Dr Darakhshan,' he said.
He said that 'Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of India and India is the crown of the world. 'Sare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara' is the reality, as this country belongs to all faiths equally without any discrimination for anybody. Brotherhood, harmony and peace are all we seek at such revered places.'
He added that we are all working hard to re-establish the era of permanent peace, prosperity and brotherhood here.
Syed Darakhshan Andrabi thanked Indresh Kumar for his visit and lauded his contribution towards the welfare of Muslim Communities across the country. Board Member Syed Mohammed Hussain and Executive Magistrate of the Board Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin were also present during the visit. (ANI)
