New Delhi [India], January 24 (ANI): Delhi turned into a sea of emotion as British singer-songwriter Calum Scott delivered a stirring performance in the national capital during the Road to Lollapalooza, bringing his global 'Avenoir Tour 2026' to the city.
From the moment Scott stepped into the spotlight, the atmosphere transformed into something deeply intimate, with his unmistakable voice creating a space of shared stillness, emotion and connection. Each lyric landed with quiet power, turning the concert into a heartfelt exchange between the artist and the audience.
Marking his first performance in Delhi, Scott recalled his earlier visit to India in 2024, when he appeared as a special guest at Ed Sheeran's 'Mathematics Tour' concert in Mumbai.
Known for his deeply emotive music and honest storytelling, Scott connected instantly with the audience, many of whom were visibly moved. Fans were seen singing along and wiping away tears as he performed a set packed with chart-topping favourites, including 'Roots', 'Where Are You Now', 'Dancing On My Own', 'Biblical', 'Heaven' and his global hit 'You Are The Reason'. Newer material added fresh depth to the performance, all carried by Scott's sincerity and emotional restraint.
The evening stood out for its immersive, intimate atmosphere, with Scott's soulful vocals resonating throughout the venue, turning the concert into a shared emotional experience for those in attendance.
Scott opened the night with 'God Knows I Need You Now', instantly setting the tone for the concert. He drew loud cheers when he greeted the crowd in Hindi, saying, 'Namaste, aap kaise ho?' (Hello, how are you?) before promising to take Delhi on an emotional rollercoaster ride -- a promise he delivered on through the night, making fans laugh, cry and dance.
Keeping the mood light between performances, Scott reacted with amusement as fans shouted out song requests, remarking with a smile that he would get to those tracks during the show. He said, 'This is a show. I'm going to get to those songs.'
During a segment he referred to as the 'crying corner,' Scott dedicated 'No Matter What' to his mother, Debbie Scott, who is accompanying him on the India leg of the tour. Speaking candidly about dreams and personal milestones, the Singer also shared his wish to one day become a father before performing 'Mad', which he dedicated to his 'future child.'
Paying tribute to legendary singer Whitney Houston, Scott performed 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody', stating that he was honoured to use Houston's voice in his album after receiving permission from her family, drawing loud applause from the crowd.
Venturing into the Country genre for the first time, Scott delivered a duet performance of 'One More Drink' with singer Alexandra.
As the concert neared its conclusion, Scott improvised the lyrics of 'You Are The Reason', dedicating the song to the city with the words, 'Delhi, You are 'My' Reason,' prompting an emotional response from fans.
The night concluded with Scott's stripped-back and emotional rendition of Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own', the song that earned him the Golden Buzzer during his 2015 Britain's Got Talent audition, bringing the evening to a powerful close.
Wrapped in the glow of a memorable night, Delhi witnessed a performance that was honest, immersive and deeply resonant. The concert was produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live.
Calum Scott is scheduled to perform next at the Lollapalooza Festival in Mumbai on Sunday, marking the conclusion of the India leg of his Avenoir Tour 2026. (ANI)
